Olympic Moment

Alright . . . well maybe not quite Olympic, but still. To me, and the other parents in that gym, it may as well have been. It was simply the last class of the gymnastics session and EVERY child was given a medal. Yeah,so? The kids thought little really of the medallion hanging on them, and they were all actually pretty quick to remove it. However, we the parents of these 3 and 4 year old mini-gymnasts behaved as though it truly was an Olympic medal moment. Cameras snapping, videos recording, and mouths hootin' and hollerin' . . . we were a sight to behold. We all had a good chuckle over our emotional and zealous responses to ours kids performing one little trick, taking the "podium" and receiving their "gold".

Little Miss cared much more about the cheering than the medal.

A few kiddos were shy or even scared in their moment. Little Miss could have remained on that podium in the "ta-da" pose for quite awhile!

College?

Yep college! That was my girl's plan anyway as she came downstairs in this get-up and said . . .

"Mom? I gotta go to college now!"

Oh Little Missy girl life is fast enough already, let's not rush it my eager beaver!

Easter . . . started this a month ago

I literally started this post one month ago and just didn't get back to it until now, ugh! For the sake of my girlie, and the book this blog will one day be, I figured I'd finish the post despite the latency.

The Easter egg hunt - getting some help with the high ones from her big cousin!

Searching with gusto . . . after finding each egg Little Miss would hug the nearest person to her and let out a spontaneous "Hip, Hip Hooray", "I win", or "Whoo-hoo" and then carry on with the search! She never even asked about what was inside . . . I guess it was the journey, not the destination for Little Miss. Smart girl!

Princess Bliss

A third birthday, a fancy dress, and a girl who loves to sing, dance, dress up and have fun . . . looks like this!

"Happy Birthday Princess!"

Little Miss picked the theme of her birthday . . . a fitting one I must admit. She has been extremely into all of the princesses this year since collecting the mini dressup dolls of Cinderella, Snow White, Belle, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Tiana, Jasmine, just to name a few. Therefore, what she asked for was a princess cake. Of course, that request was briefly preceded by a request for a cat cake (repeat, see 2nd birthday blog entry) and a turtle (huh? don't know what that was about). But once she thought of the princess cake, there was no wavering.

Little Miss was excited about her birthday for weeks before the big day. She jumped right in to help make her cake and did a fantastic job!

The Cake . . . few! Wasn't sure I could pull that off!

I don't think my little girl could have been any happier. For days before the party she asked me if everyone was going to "come home" for her party, meaning come over to our house. So cute! She was thrilled to have her family "come home" for her party that day. It really was a lovely day that left us feeling joyful and blessed. I still love this girl more and more everyday! I am so grateful and honored to share these special days and everyday with her!

Little Miss was so blessed to have extended family sending her cards/gifts too. She really enjoyed opening and looking at the cards.

She also discovered (and embraced) the concept of money in a card! Uh-oh!

After finding said money, she quickly scampered off to stash the cash in her princess cash register! Three is going to be fun!!!

Matching

Little Miss got a special treat from K . . . a matching "dolly and me" tutu princess dress. There is little that could please her more. The dress was on Little Miss within 3 seconds of her seeing it, and her babies were each anxiously awaiting their turn to wear the dolly dress.

We had to form a line to keep order among the babies!
